The challenges in this game are also fun as well, whether that be finding a Toad in a level after a Koopa kid kidnapped them, defeating a lot of goombas, matching cards, sort of like in Super Mario Bros. The visuals are a massive upgrade from NSMB DS, the gameplay is fantastic, the music is filled to the brim with happiness and adorable charm I can't get enough of, the level design is amazing, and the boss battles are almost as good as they were in Super Mario World, as the Koopa kids make a return in this game. If there's one thing that surprised me with how much quality and overall fun times there is in it, it's this game, as it has everything a great 2D Mario game has and more.
